Generally
We take our obligations and your rights seriously and make every effort to implement all the requirements required by the (as of 2018: “new”, EU-wide uniform) GDPR.
Incidentally, the regulation makes a lot of sense, but also a lot of work in the sometimes strange details.
By the way, our website will soon only be reachable via HTTPS (SSL). (We’re still working on that!)
If you have any questions or suggestions, do not hesitate to contact us.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Cookies
The monika-mauch.de website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are saved via an Internet browser on a (usually a website-visiting) computer system.
Numerous websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a character string through which websites and servers can be assigned to the specific internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited websites and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific internet browser can be recognized and identified using the unique cookie ID.
By using cookies, we can provide users of this website with more user-friendly services that would not be possible without the cookie setting.
A cookie can be used to optimize the information and offers on our website in the interests of the user. As already mentioned, cookies enable us to recognize the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website.
The user of a website that uses cookies, for example, does not have to enter his access data every time he visits the website, because this is taken over by the website and the cookie stored on the user’s computer system. Another example is the cookie of a shopping cart in the online shop. The online shop remembers the items that a customer has placed in the virtual shopping cart via a cookie.
The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time using an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common internet browsers. If the person concerned deactivates the setting of cookies in the internet browser used, under certain circumstances not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.
The system on the website monika-mauch.de uses cookies e.g. around:
save the language setting
to display an advertisement about the use of cookies and information on data protection only once.
Cookies have an expiry date. The expiry time used is comparatively short and represents a compromise between good usability and data economy.
analysis services
We do not use any analysis services, no Google Analytics, no Matomo (formerly Piwik) and no Awstats.
Plugins / tools
Google Web Fonts
This page uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The Google Fonts are installed locally. There is no connection to Google servers.
YouTube with extended data protection:
Our website uses plugins from the YouTube website. The website is operated by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in the extended data protection mode, to be precise with the WordPress add-on WP YouTube Lyte. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not save any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily preclude the transfer of data to YouTube partners. For example, regardless of whether you are watching a video, YouTube connects to the Google DoubleClick network. Since we use WP YouTube Lyte, no connection to the Google DoubleClick network is established!
As soon as you start a YouTube video on our website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, YouTube can save various cookies on your end device after starting a video. These cookies enable YouTube to receive information about visitors to our website. This information may a. used to collect video statistics, improve usability and prevent fraud. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them.
If necessary, further data processing processes can be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.
YouTube is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in their data protection declaration at: https://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube.
